thе dude аt outdoor world suggested 55 grain fmj frοm hornady fοr іt wіll pencil іn аnd out wіth virtualy nο hole!!! іѕ thіѕ a gοοd round fοr pelts concern!

    They will make smal entry/exit holes, but you’re likely to lose some ‘runners’.
    You might consider a highly frangible ‘varmint grenade etc. – Entry hole only.

    I agree with the frangible ammo. If you are looking to save pelts, one hole is better than two. FMJ is just a fairly crappy stopper, even on a coyote. Make sure they are even legal for varminting, in quite a few states you cant use FMJ on anything.

    The only downsides to frangables are the cost and they occasional bullet that breaks. They are usually a highly compressed (sintered) copper powder, and every once in awhile they fragment while feeding. Not a big deal, and will work better than an FMJ.

    Even though they’re varmints, they dont deserve to suffer needlessly.
