One has more video memory. 1GB means one gigabyte of video ram. More memory is always better. the 512 megabyte card has half the memory
get this one 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5450 and it’s better than a 3200. I can help lots with this you should ask me here http://www. mypcmates. com
That is an excellent video card and if you are going to be playing games that are just coming out now, it would be best to choose the 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5450. The more GB, the better performance. If you are a hardcore gamer, go with 1GB, if you want to save money and the games you plan on playing are a year old or so you don’t necessarily need the 1GB.
They are both the same GPU, just different memory. It’s almost like having a computer with the same processor, but different amounts of RAM.
The 512MB model has plenty of memory for everyday tasks (including 1080p HD video). If you plan to do some gaming, the 1GB card would be a better choice.
The 5450 is a *HUGE* upgrade from the 3200, however the 5450 is not a high-end card. The 5450 has plenty of new technologies integrated into, most notable is Direct X 11 compatibility. It has several technologies that enhance blu-ray playback. The 5450 would be ideal for a casual gamer, or graphic design student, or for a home entertainment system.
