Casio EX FC150 Slow Motion Scopecam Setup (Part 1)

Thе Casio EX FC150 іѕ capable οf capturing video аt 30fps, 120fps, 240fps, 480fps, аnd 1000fps. Increasing speed decreases resolution. I’ve found thаt 240fps works best fοr mοѕt airgun shooting. If уου want more information re: thе gun, scope, bipod, οr camera mount, please visit mу channel page. Thеrе уου wіll find videos covering those elements. # Frοm “spdphotog” – “Take a? look аt thе pentax UA-1 digital camera adapter looks similar аnd very available.” I’ve never used thе Pentax mount, bυt I hаνе used οthеr products frοm Pentax аnd thеу usually mаkе high quality stuff. Consider thіѕ model іf уου саn’t find thе Seben, οr іf уου simply thіnk іt looks lіkе a nicer kit. Ted.

that is probably the coolest set up i have seen. hear nothing but great things about edguns. wish i had the cash to get one

  2. DayvidSlice says:

after you set the frame rate. do you use any editing software before you post your videos?? cuz i have a camera with a 60fps setting. . . put that is used to just let more light in, right??

  3. EdgunUSA says:

@Allen7944 I never close an eye – always both open. This is true whether I shoot using the camera or without. Most shooters leave both eyes open. You shoot with one eye and track your target with the (non-scope) other eye. Also, for me, closing an eye is straining – I do not like the feeling. If you watch the “Mac1 Hunter” video, you can see that when I shoot I leave both eyes open. ted.

  4. Allen7944 says:

do you still use one eye

@phoenix1916 Sure thing, phoenix. Thanks for commenting!

Must say this is a highly informative vid, just what i was looking for, many thanks for the upload!

@busdriver824 It can “see” them fine at 950. So, I’d guess it could also capture them at 1000 or higher. Gun recoil is the bigger issue. If the gun kicks hard, then by the time the recoil has finished, the pellet may already have struck the target. My gun kicks very little – so it is steady after the pellet travels only 20 or so yards.

  8. busdriver824 says:

edgun do you think the camera you use will be able to catch pellets in the 1000+fps
range? or is that a bit too fast for it .

  11. MrAvocado99 says:

@EdgunUSA okay i will try to make some hunting videos to but they wont be as good as yours

  12. EdgunUSA says:

@MrAvocado99 :) Thanks, MrAvacado! I will say that I plan to take the AoA rifles on hunts this summer. It was more difficult for the Royale because that was in January. I’ve been delayed with the Air Wolf because it was damaged by delivery. When I get it straitened out, I’ll definitely take that thing out for a little vermin control. :) ted.

  13. MrAvocado99 says:

@EdgunUSA im not bored i think you have the best hunting videos on youtube. i was just seeing if you could make a video of hunting with a diffrent gun or a review, thats all.

  14. EdgunUSA says:

@MrAvocado99 This is the only air rifle I own. Occasionally, I have the pleasure of playing with other models (like the FX Royale). I’m sorry if you are bored of the Edgun. ;) I would very much like to have more variety, but the checkbook says “no”. ted.

  15. MrAvocado99 says:

can you do a video with a diffrent gun? please.

  16. yammo12 says:

    @EdgunUSA
Thanks Ted for that info i just won 8GB 8G Class 6 SDHC Card for $16 im confident it will work, if not its no big loss it wont go to wast.
Im looking forward to getting some good footage, thanks again for all your help.
    Eamonn.

  17. EdgunUSA says:

@yammo12 Hmm. I don’t know much about that. The 16gb Transcend (blue color) SD card that I had in my last camera worked just fine in the Casio. I think as long as you aren’t using a really old SD card, you should be in good shape. I’d think that anything 4gb or better would be “safe”. One thing I can tell you is that HD video uses up a lot more card space than high-speed video. So, I would beg to differ re: the comment that the slow-motion video requires a faster card that regular. . . . ted

  18. yammo12 says:

hi i just bought a Casio EX FC150 on ebay what card do you use in your camera,i heard somewhere on the web when i was looking around and the guy said that you need a card that is able to read the slow-motion video,im not sure what he said but apparently a standard SD card is too slow and isn’t able to read the input fast enough,so if you can advise on what card i should get i would appreciate it,your vids are great
    Regards
    Yammo12.

  22. nuclearthreat545 says:

    This is really cool

  23. EdgunUSA says:

@spdphotog That looks like it may be a bit higher quality than the Seben. Thanks for the tip. I’ve added you post to the comment field of the video. ted.

  24. spdphotog says:

Take a look at the pentax UA-1 digital camera adapter looks similar and very available
