what is the difference between an electric scope for an airsoft gun and a regular scope?

i wаѕ јυѕt wondering wουld іt bе better tο gο wіth аn electric scope fοr mу M16 οr a regular аnd whаt іѕ thе dіffеrеnсе?

   It would help us answer your question better, if you provided a link to the items (or similar products) your looking at.
   An “electric scope” could cover anything that has an inserted battery, such as a Holosight, a panoramic sight, a red-dot sight, a red-dot scope, Or an illuminated scope.

   An electric scope may not zoom in, although it is very possible that it can. a battery powered scope will probably have like a red or green dot floating, or a red laser crosshair. A normal scope can zoom in, but obviously you can’t change the color or reticle of the dot. A normal scope is usually cheaper. The crosshair on a normal scope is usually made of thin wire.

   M16’s aren’t exactly . 50 cals, so unless you outfitted it with a long barrel and sniping internals, you should get a red dot sight, like this one http://reddragonairsoft. net/Leaper%27sRed&Greendotsight. html

   for an M16 i would go with like an EOtech 553. this is military spec and it works wonderes. here is the link. i found it at airsplat. com. they are cheapest place around.

   That depends on how you will be playing. If you are playing at night or on a cqb course; then I would recommend an electric scope. But if playing in daytime with good light a regular scope would be fine.

   To be honest you are better off just going with a red/ green dot. Remember its an air soft gun so you’re distance even with a sniper is very limited to conditions!
