I have a 6. 5 Grendel AR and I put a Konus scope on it. I say you cant beat this scope for the price. I have tried others (NcStar, Tasco, Osprey, etc) and this is by far the clearest of them all. It has mil-dots, illuminated reticle in red and blue, 1/8 moa adjustments, locking turret knobs, parallax adjustment, and a lifetime warranty. Sure its no Zeiss or Nightforce, but for $340 for an 8. 5 to 32 by 52mm with a 30mm tube you just cant beat it. They offer this scope in lower powers as well with the lowest being 4. 5 to 16 with the mil-dot.

I also have a Remington 700 sps tactical in . 308 and I have a Millett buck gold 6-25X56 mil dot scope that I love and they run only about $400 with a lifetime transferable warranty. http://www. midwayusa. com/viewproduct/?productnumber=683468

I also mounted it with Remington 1 piece scope mounts

You do realize that mildot scopes are a pain in the @ss to use – and – are almost impossible to get a good group when used at an unknown distant target?

MilDot system is for military shooters who need to make a quick decision. Unless you are on some hicktown’s swat team that is too cheap to buy decent equipment – you need this scope like a fish needs a bicycle. Yeah – it’s ‘tacticool’ – but if you are buying this to impress your buddies – you are better off saving up the $$ for a boob job on your wife.

What you want – is a scope that has a BDC (bullet drop compensator) or one with target turrets.

See – with mildot you are suspose to have your rifle’s trajectory memorized and use the mildot to make mental corrections. That means you fire only ONE style of bullet in ONE load – no changing bullets or loads – or the mildot is out the window. Fine for a sniper. At the target range – using a BDC or target turrets – you can make temporary or perment corrections – better still – you can dial in local corrections, or, pre-correct for the wind 20x faster and 100x more accurate than the jerk shooting next to you with a stupid mildot. And you can use any damn bullet or load you please.

If this rifle + scope is gonna sit in the closest and only come out when your buddies are home – then get the cheapo mildot the guy above provided a link. If this is a rifle+scope you are actually gonna take the time to learn to shoot correctly – and – shooting at the range against your buddies – you want a scope with target turrets.

You should leave the mildot scopes to the folks who need them. They are not fun to use. 98% of the people who own them – eiether don’t know how to use them, or , use them improperly. Target turret scopes are fun, fun, and highly useful.
