You can send it in for repair. There is nothing you can do yourself.
Where you send it would depend upon whether it’s an old Refield or a new Redfield.
new one sorry to hear that,,,,,,,,, try a nikkon
Unfortunately, this isn’t a do it yourself problem, unless you happen to have the world’s most awesome tool bench in your garage. Most modern scopes are not only sealed-they are vacuum sealed, and in some cases they are filled with a medium such as nitrogen gas to aid in anti-fogging. Red-field should be able to repair your scope, but the question you have to ask is; do the ends justify the means? If the factory intends to honor any warranty you may have, it might be worth it. If not, the combined cost of repair and shipping may outweigh the cost of a new optic. Unless this scope holds sentimental value to you, then you should research the cost of repair and shipping, and then take that figure to the local gun shop or sporting goods store and compare it to the cost of something new.
Not a repair that you can do yourself – the moisture can be ‘cooked out’ with moderate heat, but you lack a way of inert-gas flushing the tube as well as sealing it tightly again.
Factory fix.
Sorry to say there isn’t a way for you to fix it. This is a prime example of why a hunter wants a scope that’s; fog proof, water proof and shock resistant. Redfield may replace it for you but then your back to square one and it could happen again.
I have taken a number of people hunting that paid big bucks for the guided hunt and their rifle but bought a cheap scope and that cheap scope ruined a very expensive hunting trip.
I suggest buying a quality scope with a good warranty.
Don’t try to DIY this.
Send it to Redfield.
They’ll clean, dry, flush with dry nitrogen, and reseal it.
If there’s been water in there for any length of time the adjustment mechanism
probably need repair/replacement as well.
