there are so many coyotes where i live that i haven’t seen a rabbit in about a decade , and there is a bounty on coyotes here. . . . cant get rid of them !!!

It all depends on the numbers you can catch mate.
If you get 150 and you prepared to mess on gutting and saving the”rabbit livers and? kidney” well be it mate but I need to be away home !
This is the difference between hobby rabbit catchers and the rabbit catchers that depend on this for a living ( like myself ).

That’s fine if your only gutting 20 or 30 but on big numbers for the trade they are not bothered about the “rabbit livers and? kidney” so speed is a must when you have a large amount to deal with so this method saves time.
I would not recommend that you try it. . . . . but if you only get the odd 30 rabbits here and there it might not be worth it for you !
But if you have a big amount to gut this might be worth your while looking into and learning the method .

that is one gross gutting method! never seen that before, I just cut a slit, being careful not to puncture the guts, hold the rabbit the right way up by the neck and fron feet at one end and the back feet at the other and shake the guts down so they handg free, then just sling them out! all you have to do is pull the stomach out, leaving you with some lovely rabbit livers and kidneys to do whatever with
