how do you tell how much to turn the turret on a scope?

i want tο ѕtаrt long range shooting. ive picked up a few things frοm hunting shows lіkе minute per angle οr something lіkе thаt bυt i don’t know hοw tο figure out hοw many turns tο dο fοr еνеrу minute аnd stuff.

    The turrets will say 1/4 moa per click or something similar.

    1 moa is 1 inch at 100 yards so 1/4 moa is 1/4 inch at 100 yards.
    Divide or multiply depending on whether you’re shooting further or closer.

    In other words 4 clicks would be 1 inch at 100 yards.

    If it’s not written on the turrets it will be in the owners manual.

    it depends on how for and how much magnification you want follow the numbers on the scope
