The Nikon D60 is not bad for the money.

    Leopold V-II
    Best scope for the $

I just bought this same rifle and went through the same scope decision for about the same amount of money. I found Cabelas has a great user rating list for a lot of common scopes. I ended up going through with a Leupold VX-II. I own two other rifles (hand-me-downs) with 40 year old Leupold VX-II. They have been through a lot but they still work great. I hunt on the Pacific cost where it rains inches on a single day. The hunting is good and the optics do not fog up nor have they leaked.

    Hope this helps.
