Nikon isn’t the only who makes BDC scopes, short for bullet drop compensator. Sometimes these are calibrated turret on the elevation – some can be annoying marks on the lens.
My preference is for the turrents – you can easily make minor changes on them to suit your loads and ammo. . . . . . . . . . not so with the ones etched on the glass. To make the glass one work right you need to shoot a specific brand of ammo – and heaven help you if your rifle has a longer or shorter than normal barrel that throws it off.
