i wаѕ wondering hοw long thе battery wіll last, cuz i know thе batteries аrе kinda hard tο find аnd a lіttlе expensive…ѕο dοеѕ anyone thаt hаѕ a red dot sight/scope know hοw long thеу last?? thank уου

its going to depend on the scope itself. the batteries dont last long in the cheap ones, maybe a few hours on the high setting.
most use lithium batteries like 2016 or 2032. these are about $3. 00 each at walmart. You can buy them in bulk on Ebay, they have a shelf life of about 5 years.
The key to getting them to last is to run on the lower brightness and turn them off when you aren’t actually shooting. I’m running a Hako red dot on one of my pistols and continuous on a lower setting it might run for a couple of hours. However, when I am reloading or something like that I make sure to turn it off and it will last much, much longer.

I just want to see how long the site last,if its a 12 gauge it will throw the site off of dial after a few shots. Going cheap on optics is not a wise move.
i have a cheap BSA RGB red dot scope, uses one CR2032 battery. I never had to buy any replacements becasue i always use the scope at the lowest settings and turn it off when not in use. also i have a bunch of CR2032 batteries lying around anyways. I think they’re a buck each if you are to go buy them. the brand name ones are 3 bucks each, but if you don’t mind the generic ones are much less.
