Let’s just say they’re NOT like the OLD Redfield scopes. I own one and am underwhelmed. It didn’t even come with scope covers and when I e-mailed Redfield (Leupold) they basically told me to go scrub goats. Then they had a promotion giving away scope covers that ended up costing you $20. 00. I never bought a scope that didn’t include some sort of covers.
The tone of their answer alone will preclude me from buying anything Leupold. I’ll stick to the Nikons.
When I informed them of this they didn’t seem to care what I purchased. Now THEY can go scrub goats.
I’ll have to agree with heywood on the subject. I’ve also heard alot of BS on the new Redfields. They sure aren’t like the old one’s made anymore. Leupold just isn’t going to put alot of effort into something they stood 2nd inline to many years ago and now use their design feature’s as well on their high $$ scopes and mounts which are also based off the Redfields. They could care less about the Redfield name, that’s why they sale for $200 and less. What would you expect out of a cheap made scope? If you want better in Redfield, buy older.
