Hello!
Based on my experience with Cabela’s and their purchasing policies, they would probably offer you about $300 for the rifle . . . they might give you about $125 for the Redfield scope. Considering the items you have, I would consider listing it as a package for about $550 . . . and allow yourself about $50 that you could be “negotiated” down.
Remember, we are in a bad economy . . . people today probably do not have the $ to invest in a rifle! You might actually want to reconsider why you are selling yours!
Good luck!
Without seeing the gun in person, I can’t really say, BUT:
You can go to: www. gunbroker. com
and look at guns like yours’.
When you sell a gun that is in your private collection, you have to send it to a gun shop that has a FFL, and then they transfer the gun to the buyer. Say I bought your gun. You would send it to a gun dealer of my choice, as long as he had a valid FFL. When I go to pick it up, I will have to do the ‘paper work’, then carry-out the gun. I would pay you directly for the gun, and then pay the FFL holder a transfer fee.
Personally, I think that your gun ~could~ go up in value. Some people believe that Obama, Pelosi, and Reed will soon make semi-guns a thing of the past. I know yours’ is not a semi-auto, but a gun ban (of any sort) could, and has brought all guns up [with it] in value.
If you have pics of your gun, and a price in mind, I would like to see it.

I am not a gun dealer or anything like that. I’m a cattle rancher.
The range should be between $575 and $690 depending on the age of your rifle.
