just kill some vendors they have money
Learn Security and Computer/Science skills, some of the spots in the desert have lots of safe in them, that’s one of the ways to get money, another way is to work with people. . . .
If I remember right, the scope will appear in a later vendor or higher level. . . But there’s an unique sniper rifle in the east bank where Caesar’s Legion troops are (I forgot the name of the place, but there are crosses in the entrance to the small town. . . . .
Travel to Bloodborne Cave there are about 7650 bottle caps and 400 NCR money along with Legion money (Can be used for roulette and other games)
I traveled here on the Bleed Me Dry quest, and I had the Animal Friend perks so the nightstalkers never touched me.
You can also get the a Hunting Shotgun for free in good condition at the old nuclear test site just over the hill from Nipton, though this can be challenging since the Ghoul Reavers Glowing Ones and Roamers are all around the hut where the shotgun is, it’s sort of like a Resident Evil Extinction easter egg as the hut is surrounded by a wire mesh fence like the hut in the movie which is surrounded by zombies. The best way to get around this is to run and jump into the bed of the pickup truck just outside and try to kill as many as you can, planting mines is good. They will usually run away from you when you’re in the back of the pickup truck for some reason and only come back when you step down so. . . it can be hard to kill them this way but it’s the closest you can get without being overrun. It’s possible to run into the pickup truck, they run away and then you have a chance to run through the gate and into the hut. . . you only have so much time to get the shotgun and whatever other supplies as there is radiation – not so much to kill you but can possibly make you over encumbered, also the fact that the Ghouls will be returning to the hut whilst you ran on in, though you should have time to get the shotgun and back out.
If you have a decent repair skill you can forage and purchase broken weapons, repair them and make a fortune. This is especially true of the BoS and Plasma store outside of the New Vegas North gate.
