It’s a Savage Mаrk II Model F .22 lr, whеn I ordered іt, іt wаѕ advertised аѕ being shipped wіth scope already attached, bυt whеn I gοt thе receipt, thеу οnlу charged mе fοr thе rifle itself аnd іt didn’t come wіth a scope. Sο now I hаνе tο bυу a base/mount аnd scope, dοеѕ anyone know thе specs fοr thіѕ rifle?

There should be some tiny screws on top of rifle that are for mounting. But before doing anything, check online or various sport catalogs for scope mounts. Each mount will identify what rifles it fits. Find one that specifies your rifle model. Try BassPro or Cabelas online. There search feature will help. Once you find a make/model(s), you can then shop for best price. You can also check with a reliable gun shop. They can get one for you and mount as well. Be sure to do your research to be sure you are no paying too high a price. Check with were you ordered the rifle and see what scope and mount they advertised. You should be able to get one there. If you are not comfortable with mounting the scope yourself, it is worth the little extra expensive to have somone mount it for you. They could probably sight it in using a laser bore sight. This will not be perfect will get you very close where you can then fine tune it.
It depends on if ur rifle has a scope mount. if i does. you put the scope on the top part. then take the screws on the scope and tighten it on to your rifle. You should not have too buy a mount just a scope.
Well looks to me as if you have need of a weaver mounts and about any scope I like the 3×9-32mm versions by Leupold. But if you want the gun to be the most accurate it can I would take it to a gunsmith and let him do the mounts and help you pick out a scope for your first time. It is not as easy as it looks take a scope and those mount thingys and put the scope on. And doing it right the first time will save you a lot of headaches in the future. And go to a real gunsmith no the idiots at dicks, basspro, or Gander Mountain, they screwed up one of mine royally.
The gun should already have the bases attached to the receiver if you bought it NIB. All you need to do is buy a set of rings to go with the scope you choose. I’d go with a 3X9 variable but that’s just me. Anyway, once you have the rings, unscrew the tops of both of them and loosely mount them to the bases. Slip the scope into the rings and loosely tighten down. With the gun to your shoulder in the firing position slide the scope forward or back until you get the eye relief you want. Make sure the cross hairs are absolutely horizontal and vertical. Tighten everything snugly. Happy shooting!
Go to your nearest “full service” gunshop or sporting goods store and ask them to help you.
you can look up which Picatinny Rail or Weaver rail will fit your model. . . . just do a yahoo search for “Picatinny rail for Savage Mark II Model F . 22LR”
Youll just need a picatinny or weaver style rail, and then scope mounts. (your scope mounts should be a bit elevated so that the scope is not touching the barrel or the rail. . . . )
