Just some new Ruger ring info, Bought my mini 14 tactical a month ago it came with one inch rings which do not fit any of my optics that I have. I called Ruger in NH and they told me to ship them to them and they exchanged and sent me a pair of 30mm rings for free

As an owner of a Mini 14, yes you’re facts might be correct, but your opinions are skewed. Bill Ruger being wrong about his own rifle because you THINK its tactical? No it was intended to be a ranch rifle. Ruger had it right. The term tactical rifle wasn’t even being whispered at that time. Oh and spend less time speaking about yourself and more about the rifle. I could care less about your past exploits.

@blakkmask when i called ruger, they also told me that for best results, only shoot american. when i told them i found great deals on s. korean and turkish ammo, he said that was fine (if they were up to NATO specifications).
he, however, said to stay away from steel case and, i quote, ‘russian garbage’.

ruger also suggested that you shoot 55 grain through 62 or so.
you can call them, but make sure you call the connecticutt office, not the one in arizona (which only handles pistols).

To Nutn or Veri, Just bought my first Mini 14 tactical and the instruction manual says it can shoot 5. 56 and . 233. To my knowledge if your rifle is chambered in 5. 56 you can shoot . 223 through it but not the other way around . So can/should I shoot 5. 56 through my brand new mini ?? I know you both are busy but would love to hear back from you to clear this up for me. Thanks and keep it up

probably because they’re not too common and overpriced, nutn doesn’t own most of the guns used in the videos, they are loaned for the review. So if he doesn’t know someone with one then it will be a while before you see it in his videos.
i run a lot of gun people don’t like (i. e. s&w sigma and Remington 770) i have a rock river (witch i love) but I’ve been looking at mini 14 for years and after this i really think i am going to get a Ruger mini 14 in 5. 56- 223 rem thanks for posting this. god bless you brother and happy shooting!
