I don’t understand the 30-50 yards at 9 power. For deer hunting out to 300 yds, a 4x fixed is almost enough. Typically on scopes I decide what features I need, 4x, 3-9x, 4-16x, 32mm, 40mm, 56mm and what ever reticle I want and by the most expensive one that I can justify. I have used tasco 4x and 3-9x without a problem in the past. The 6-24 tasco will not work above 18x.
I would heavily consider a Nikon. I currently own six of them and love everyone. They have a lifetime warranty and are one of the brightest, clearest scopes a person can look through. I have had mine on anything from a 223 to a 300 Win. Mag. and have yet to have any problems. I would try a Nikon Prostaff or a Buckmasters. The Prostaff runs anywhere from $100 to $200 and the Buckmaster Series runs $200 to $350.
Good Luck, Brandon
i would go with a bushnell elite 4200 or 6500 depending on the money you want spend but don’t wast your time with the cheap ones go with a high end model
Nikon Pro Staff w/BDC 3×9x40 I have one on my marlin xl7 . 30-06 and its clear as day and I shoot 1 inch groups at 100 yards and I’m a lousy shot lol.
the Tasco is a good cheap scope. at 30 to 50 is it clear on 4x? your trouble maybe the focus. get out the manual. with variable scopes they are not in focus at shorter ranges 9x at 30 yards no no no! the cat’s eye line by BSA or more costly the Aetec [best]or Prohunter by Simmons all three come in 3x to 10x check out your Tasco first.
