   Brand new?? I bought my Remington 700 SPS last year at Cabelas Any gun store should be able to order the gun for you.

   The Rem 700 is a center fire. It is not available in . 17 HRM. The . 17 Rem Fireball is a centerfire round. They are not new. I purchased one for my son 18 months ago in . 308. The local store did not have one and I was busy at the time. So I sent my minor son to the shop to see if they could order it and get a price. He negotiated a price of $585 for it. I called them a couple of days later, verified the price and had them order it. It gets touching bullet holes at 100 yds with hand loads.

   Any gun shop or sporting goods store that has an FFL (Federal Firearms License) can order you whatever rifle you want as long as it is legal in Ohio. As has already been mentioned the Remington 700 series of rifles are not chambered for the . 17 HMR cartridge. There are many good brands of firearms out there that make quality . 17 HMR guns. A couple of these are Savage Arms and Marlin Firearms. May I suggest you look at the Savage 93 series of rifles if you want to shoot 17 HMR.

   First it doesnt come in . 17hmr. . . it comes in . 17 fireball and those are two completely different cartridges.

   Second its not new you can buy these anywhere.

   third what is a “sweet” scope to you? a BSA? a Leupold? a Nightforce?

   Read the specs. It is a centerfire. . 17 HMR is a rimfire. It does come in . 17 Remington Fireball which is a good centerfire round for varmints. At the top of the page on your link is a link that says:Find a retailer. That has always worked for me.
