Im shooting 110gr іn a .270 wіth a leupold VX-L 6.5×20-56 LR target wіth a varmint hunters recticle. And іt іѕ fаntаѕtіс, аnd аt 100m im shooting .5″ groups реrfесtlу bulls eye, BUT whеn I shoot аt 200m, im still getting gοοd groups οf 1″ аnd thе elevation іѕ still gοοd, BUT thе shots аrе grouping аbουt 2 οr 3 inches tο thе rіght, whу іѕ thіѕ?

well if its not a high velocity thats probably the problem bullets will stray after their velocity wears out but no its not the scope
Probably wind at the range. Next time your out shooting walk down the range and check the wind.
Sights off a little or you have a slight jerk in your trigger finger.
Maybe a slight gravitational pull–hey, why not?
did you clean the gun PROPORALY?
shoot on a dead calm day.
Do you have an adjustable objective? The end opposite you look in it should be adjustable for range. Set it for 200 yards. It is called parallex adjustment. And as others said maybe the wind is blowing left to right. It doesn’t take much. .
ya that is what normally happens at longer ranges and 400 yards would be a 2 inch spread
you are shooting sub MOA
which is great
it could be the barrel or wind resistance
besides the typical wind and trigger pull I’d say your scope may need to be bore sighted again.
sounds like your getting good groups and your doing it consistently so I’d guess that your trigger technique isn’t doing it, but a trigger job or better trigger wouldn’t hurt if your shooting at that range frequently (if you haven’t done that all ready.
as for the wind, well it can do that but its not usually blowing exactly the same speed all the time so your group should have opened up more than that and I would assume that you’d be aware of the wind and your asking this question based off more than one shooting session.
I’d guess that you need to have the scope bore sighted and that your scope was just a rch off when the horizontal was leveled. if your zeroed at a 100m and 2-3″ right at 200m then try it at about 20′ you should be 2-3″ to the left if that’s the case then you need to find a good gun smith that will ream your scope rings and bore sight your scope with the kind of precision needed for the ranges that your shooting, leveling your receiver and horizontal reticule can be a little tricky, 2-3″ @ 200m is a tiny amount and for hunting purposes isn’t worth fixing for some gunsmiths or at sporting goods stores that will mount for you but if you want it right and plan on shooting long range then I’d start looking for a gunsmith with a good reputation that can not only dial your scope in but tune your action, trigger and barrel for long range work.
sounds to me like your scope is mounted improperly try taking a level (the kind you would use for hanging pictures or framing a house) and marking a level pencil line on the wall both vertical and horizontal making a cross on the wall, then set your rifle in a leveled rest or hold it how you would normally shoot it and aim at the cross marked on the wall, then see how far out of level your cross hairs are.
I had this same problem with my scope and a gun smith told me to try this. now its perfect.
I would say it’s wind or something, but I am no expert at random solutions.
Two possibilities, wind drift, or the error is very slightly to the right at 100 meters, but at 200 meters, the error is exaggerated, resulting in the 2 and 3 inch hits to the right.
