Remington reduced recoil ammunition.?

I’m wanting tο gеt a remington 700 sps varmint іn .308 winchester. I wan’t tο really gеt іntο target shooting, аnd really work hard tο ѕtаrt getting tο ranges οf 800 yards, аnd аm wanting tο shoot maybe alot аt one session, ѕο hοw much recoil wіll thіѕ reduce, lіkе compare іt tο another round, аnd wіll I bе аblе tο gеt a possible 800 yard shots οr wіll іt reduce thе range alot. I’m wanting tο bе аblе tο gеt аt lеаѕt 500 yards consistant. Thе rifle thаt I’m going tο gеt wіll bе remington 700 sps varmint, .308, 8.5 pound rifle, wіth a bipod аnd a scope.

shooting a lighter grain bullet has less recoil, but at long distance a lighter bullet will have less kinetic energy when it hits.
you can buy a recoil pad for the butt plate of the gun, limb saver has one that they say is guaranteed to reduce 50% of felt recoil

Instead of reduced recoil ammunition, I use a recoil
vest. Not sure if that’s what it’s called, but basically it
is a padded half-vest that goes over my right
chest/collar bone area. I use it when I want to practice
with my 12 gauge. It is marketed by Remington and is labelled as such, but another company makes it for them. It helps

Remington Managed Recoil ammo is far more effective than a slip on pad or vest at reducing felt recoil. This I can tell you from personal experience. The light bullet and reduced powder charge actually do make it feel like the recoil has been cut in half.

The 125 grain Managed Recoil ammo does have a POI that is close to standard Core-Lokt 150 grain at 100 yards, but as distances increase you will see more drop with the Managed Recoil ammo.

Shooting at 500 yards with a 150 yard zero, Managed Recoil has a trajectory of -69. 6″.
    150 grain Core-Lokt, using a 200 yard zero, has a trajectory of -54. 8″ at the same 500 yards.

The heavier, faster 150 grain will also be more resistant to wind drift as the range increases. In fact, for long range shooting you’d be better off with a bullet in the neighborhood of 168 grains.

Reduced Rem. ammo should not to be used at such long ranges. You need to man-up.
